PROSTATE1000 is a philanthropic organisation, committed to helping spread awareness of the scourge of prostate cancer, and to raising funds for financing research into finding a cure. The organisation was founded in 2009 by Gideon Lang-Laddie.
PROSTATE1000 raises awareness and funds for prostate cancer research, by focusing on and organising sponsored biking challenges. In August 2024, a team of PROSTATE1000 members will cycle 720miles, ascending 34,753ft each, in 7 days, cycling from Monte Carlo to Rome.
PROSTATE1000 has raised approximately $300,000 for prostate cancer research, from totally self-funded and sponsored, endurance cycling challenges since its founding in 2009. Every penny raised has gone directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and to Prostate Cancer UK.
